Snowy Mountain Software (ZYEYZ, LLC) — “we”, “us” or “our” — operates Tessera at tessera.3rt1.com. This policy explains what the game collects and what it does not.
Tessera has no accounts. There is nothing to sign up for, no password, and no profile. You can play the single-device games without giving us anything at all.
Puzzle and Competitive run entirely in your browser. Board state, scores and secret bonuses never leave your device, and are gone when you close the tab. Once the game has loaded it works with no network connection at all.
Live mode needs a server, because it coordinates several devices. While a table is running we hold:
Display names are chosen by you and shown to everyone at the table. Pick whatever you like — there is no need to use a real name, and we would rather you did not.
If you write to us, we receive the name, email address, topic and message you submit, plus the IP address the message came from. This is emailed to us and is not stored on the site.
Our servers record standard log data: IP addresses, browser type, referring page and timestamps. This is used for security and for keeping the service running.
We use Umami, an analytics tool we host ourselves on our own servers. It records page views and general usage, without cookies and without building a profile of you. Nothing is shared with a third-party analytics provider, and there are no advertising trackers anywhere on the site.
Tessera keeps a small amount of data in your browser’s local storage, which we cannot read from our servers:
Clearing your browser storage removes both. The only cookie the site sets is the CSRF token that protects form submissions.
To run live tables, to answer messages you send us, to understand in aggregate which parts of the game people use, and to keep the service secure. That is all. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
Live tables are deleted automatically a couple of days after they finish, along with their seats, names and scores. Contact emails stay in our inbox until we no longer need them. Server logs rotate on a short schedule.
Tessera is suitable for all ages and requires no account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and nothing in the game asks for any. Because live-table display names are typed in freely and shown to the rest of the table, we ask that children use a nickname rather than their real name. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will remove it.
You may:
Use the contact form for any of these.
We may update this policy. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed. There are no accounts to notify, so please check back if this matters to you.
